A scene from my final major project (work in progress), a documentary based abstract film, based around McMillan & Chavis' "Sense of Community: A Definition and Theory". I have been looking at various different communities within London, interviewing and composing the aspects of these participants lives. This is only the second phase within the film, where I will be collaborating with Tom on the abstract elements of the film, which are influenced by the abnormality of Roy Anderson's films, Songs from the Second Floor & You, the Living (which will soon be published on here, no doubt).
We are very happy so far with what we are working on and are excited to see what we produce along the way.Dissociate A video advert on the subject that protesting has lost its effectiveness within modern society.Scaling A series of animated stills, taken from various different photographic sources, retaken at a macro level.Domesticated A video art piece made during textiles week as apart of our FDa induction, the piece consists of dirty, over bleached materials, hung on a washing line. Playing with the conventions of how we as humans live.An advert of accidents A video advert playing with the conventions of what an advert should be and how it is seen by society, using a fictitious institution (MoA) and recording accidents in their most literal form.
